As the Chief Technology Officer for CareCentrix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Walgreens, you will lead a talented and energetic team, developing clear objectives and driving technology strategy in partnership with Walgreens Health and in support of the tactical execution of the CareCentrix product roadmap. The Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for building and leading development teams while managing delivery, and security.
Responsibilities
• Foster a collaborative culture at all levels of the organization by role modeling resourcefulness and flexibility in an evolving environment.
• Collaborate with other key technology leaders in a matrixed environment.
• Develop software products that drive impactful business results, including front end/backend development, architecture, quality, sustainability, and release management.
• Oversee and direct all activities to attain maximum efficiency in the creation and maintenance of technology products. Accountable to see that products are developed on schedule and within budget, meet quality standards and remain progressive to meet ever-changing market demands.
• Oversee platform selection(s) and technical design of products and architecture.
• Maximize technological capabilities to construct new products and services.
• Manage the financial performance of the technology groups and technology infrastructure; communicate the role of development in the financial performance of the products.
• Sustain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, software development best practices, industry trends, and solutions that keep us on the cutting edge.
• Manage the recruitment, retention, and development of technology talent, within a culture of change management, workforce engagement, energy, and excitement.
• Mature and refine team metrics and key performance indicators.
• Manage Technology Security demands to ensure that the right controls and processes are in place to prevent data threats and meet audit requirements.
• Ensure product requirements and design are appropriately defined and priorities are accurate and aligned with CCX roadmap.
• Share knowledge, mentor and educate the organization’s management, staff and stakeholders with regards to the company’s technological capabilities and challenges.
Qualifications
• Degree in Computer science, engineering or equivalent
• 10 years minimum experience managing a technology division
• 5 years minimum experience working in the Healthcare industry, preferred.
• Extensive experience with core infrastructure (network, telecommunications, database, dev ops), security (HITRUST certification), and SDLC (methodologies, planning, and execution).
• Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems. In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to technology issues.
• Ability to effectively forecast and manage large budgets.
• Ability to work well in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent leadership competencies, with the ability to lead in a progressive, fast-paced environment which promotes change, innovative solutions, and a culture of workforce engagement and respect.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Ability to convey complex technical problems or solutions in business terms.
